The Integration Technologies configuration utility (ITConfig) fails with an unhandled exception message under the following conditions:

• The SAS Integration Technologies client is installed on a machine where an older version of the client already exists.
• ITConfig is set with standard user privileges, and the user attempts to update obsolete registry entries when the application prompts for the update.

To workaround the problem, use one of the following methods to set and run ITConfig with administrator privileges:

• Right-click the application shortcut or the application's executable (.exe) file. Then select Run as administrator.
• Press and hold Ctrl+Shift while you open the application.

If a Microsoft Windows User Account Control prompt appears, click Yes to apply permission that enables the application to run with full permission as an administrator.

Note: If you are logged in as a standard user while you run one of the methods described above, then you need to provide the administrator's password for the application to run with administrator privileges.
